Welcome to Multimedia Communication!

Welcome, students, to Multimedia Communication!

You've been immersed in multimedia and digital communication your whole lives. Much of it has been social, with family and friends. Now you will learn how to use the tools to communicate publicly, in the professional world.

Your audience now is potentially global. This has great creative advantages for you. You will learn how to use digital tools that entertain, amuse, and also serve the public interest. We will help you develop your digital presence in a professional way. Some people call this a "personal brand". You will also learn how various internet publishers use these tools to misinform the public, and how we can detect this.

This blog will be used to post reading and homework assignments. You will post your homework assignments to the ADI system.
Be sure to get your ADI password (and don't forget it!). If you need help, people from the Information Technology department will be posted in the lobby of the FCOM building to help you.
I look forward to working with you, and Good Luck!

One skill you'll learn in this course is how to upload data from a spreadsheet into Google Maps and create a map. The map below shows the countries (and in some cases the cities) that your 49 classmates come from. If you click on the markers you will see their first names. (I've not included family names to protect privacy.)
